CBTC - What We Do

The mission of 'Chihówa Anno̱pa Toshóli' - God's Word Sharers (Choctaw Bible Translation "CBTC") is to strengthen and revive the Choctaw language.  "Lha̱nkochih hichah Okchalih!"

CBTC, or, the Toshóli, are a group of friends who want to provide spiritual resources that envigorate and celebrate the Choctaw culture.  The Toshóli organized as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit called 'Choctaw Bible Translation Committee' in 1998.

CBTC has been generously supported by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians over the years.  CBTC has provided employment for anywhere from two to ten members of MBCI at a time. We also provide a place for Youth Opportunity Workers and Senior Services to contribute meaningfully.

The Toshóli at CBTC have produced Scripture portions from the gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, the epistles of 1, 2 & 3 John, and the books of Ecclesiastes, Amos and Jonah.

Hymns and Spiritual Songs are available on CD to lift your spirit.  We carry both traditional Choctaw hymns and new Scripture songs.

Hymnbooks and the old Choctaw Bible (New Testament only) are also available.

On a daily basis, the Toshóli provide spiritual support at the CBTC office to any who come in.  Coffee and cold water are always available! And we would be glad to pray with you, no matter the circumstances.
